I’m Katie — the founder of Mooi Foods, and a lifelong believer that snacks should make people happy, energized, and cared for.
My love for baking started in my childhood kitchen in Langley, B.C.,where warm cookies were a symbol of comfort and connection. Growing up, foodwasn’t just something we ate — it was how we bonded, celebrated, and showed love.
I later trained in pastry and baking in New York City and spent years cooking around the world, learning one big truth: food brings people together. It lifts moods, sparks conversation, and helps us feel seen and supported.
But here’s the twist — I wanted to make snacks that didn’t just taste incredible, but also nourished people in a real, practical way. Something delicious enough to fight over at recess, simple enough for everyday snacking, and made with ingredients we can feel good about serving to students, patients, residents,and families.
That’s how Mooi Foods was born.
